The local Red Cross hosted a Fundraiser Luncheon . . . and asked Gene to join them in modeling historical costumes! Unfortunately, Gene was tied up with rehersals for "The Merry Widow" but she prevailed on her friends to help.
Violet Waters and Clea Bella were happy to assist at the Luncheon modeling a late 1800's Gown with Red Cross Nursing Apron. Everyone agreed that they were quite striking in the woven blue and white striped dresses with its bodice and skirt tucks, long sleeves and dainty navy trim. The Red Cross apron tied beautifully around their tiny waists. Both wore a red satin bow over their chignon for a beautifully complete look. There was friendly (and admiring) laughter when Violet hoisted her full skirt so everyone could see the attached white petticoat and the matching pantaloons. Both were trimmed with dainty tucks and laces. Heavy applause thanked Clea and Violet for their time and assistance!
Your Gene-sized doll will look as lovely in our re-creation of the 1800's Red Cross Nurse costume complete with dress, apron, attached petticoat and matching pantaloons. The pearl earrings and white pumps are included for a complete outfit!
