1800's Nurse for Tyler and Alex sized Dolls

Gene agreed to make a Special Appearance at a Children's Hospital Halloween Party . . . Gene didn't want to frighten them so her Wardrobe Mistress found this adorable Dorothy dress of mini-blue checks with an eyelet underskirt! The two layered gathered skirt is very full; it's topped by an attached dainty blouse of tiny white dots on white. The full puffed sleeves and the wide blue checked waistband add to the charm. The bodice is lined and closes in back with narrow velcro. Dress was made in the USA.

We include the blue satin ribbons for her hairdo and the shoes we've painted with red glitter. (Or buy the plain white pumps and paint them yourself!) The shoes and dress fit Gene, Alex and Tyler. The dress was originally designed for a different doll but is delightful on our favorite fashion dolls!

The local Red Cross hosted a Fundraiser Luncheon . . . and asked Gene to join them in modeling historical costumes! Unfortunately, Gene was tied up with rehersals for "The Merry Widow" but she prevailed on her friends to help.
Violet Waters was happy to assist at the Luncheon modeling a late 1800's Gown with Red Cross Nursing Apron. Everyone agreed that she was quite striking in the woven blue and white striped dress with its bodice tucks, long sleeves and dainty navy trim. The Red Cross apron tied beautifully around her tiny waist. Violet wore a red satin bow over her chignon for a lovely complete look. There was friendly (and admiring) laughter when she hoisted her full skirt so everyone could see the attached white petticoat and the matching pantaloons. Both were trimmed with dainty tucks and laces. Heavy applause thanked Violet for her time and performance!
