Gene appears for her curtain calls as Hermia in this lovely costume with fluid lines inspired by Grecian drawings and sculpture. The textured satin zipper fabric drapes beautifully and is trimmed at the hems with gold machine embroidery in a Greek key motif.
A replica of this costume is available in a Limited Edition of 10. A Certificate of Authenticity is included. Gene's costume is designed by Barbara Steinberg and made for DOLL FASHIONS UNLIMITED in the United States.
The skirt of Gene's costume laps over itself in back and fastens at her waist with snaps. The hem curves to leave an opening at the skirt back for ease of movement and to reveal a glimpse of Gene's lovely legs. The top of Gene's costume also wraps around her torso to drape over one shoulder, leaving the other deliciously bare. A gold filigree pin is the perfect accent on her shoulder and harmonizes beautifully with Gene's gold coin earrings.
Gene wears her hair pulled back and hanging past her shoulders with a portion of it twisted with pearls and braided. On her feet are white high heel sandals from Kingstate.
As Gene appeared in front of the curtain she was presented with a lovely bouquet of red roses tied with streamers of red, white and blue in honor of the Fourth of July holiday. Gene was very touched to learn that Olivia de Haviland had sent the roses with a card "Congratulations from one Hermia to another!"
