Miss Sydney World Competition
In case you haven't heard . . . and you love to "re-do" dolls like Sydney . . . there is a fantastic contest going on now in honor of Sydney's 5th anniversary and Tonner Dolls 15th!
The contest is being conducted by a "committee of Sydney fans in collaberation with Haute Doll Magazine and with the support of Tonner Doll Company. Anyone can enter but you MUST create at least two original costumes for your doll - one an evening gown, the other an interview suit. Repaints and re-rooting will be judged but are not required.
For complete rules (they are complicated) see the Miss Sydney World website - basically you have to notify the committe by April 15th that you will be entering, then get your entry in by April 22nd. The entries will be displayed and judged at the Tonner Doll Convention in Denver this May (I will be there and will bring you on-the-spot information!)
The winner and two runner-ups will appear in Haute Doll magazine . . . plus photos of other entries will appear on the Miss Sydney website so that the public can vote on their favorites - the winner will be Miss Congeniality! What fun for everyone - can't wait to see the entries - they are sure to be fantastic!

New Clea Bella Dolls!
We have just learned that two lovely ballerina dolls will be shipped to us this week - and we're delighted! One is the Degas Ballerina Doll - so lovely I can't wait to see her (we have her costume available indivually if you already have a ballerina doll)
The second stunning doll is the magical Dragonfly Ballerina - apparently it has been 20 years in the making as Bogie (the creative mind behind the Clea Bella dolls) has been entranced with Dragonflys since childhood.
Both are limited and both are so elegant! (And available on our next Thursday Customer Discount Day . . . )
